What's on the shelf
Every toy is its own small thing that behaves the way the real object does. There is no order to work through — you open the shelf, take down whichever one you feel like, and that is the whole app.
Pop It

Push every bubble through to the other side, turn it over, and start again.
EndlessFidget Spinner

Flick it and watch it wind down. Flick it harder and see how long you can keep it going.
EndlessBubble Wrap

A whole sheet of it, and no one to tell you to stop.
EndlessSlime

Stretch it, squash it, let it drip back down. It behaves the way slime should.
EndlessSmashing Phones

Take a hammer to a phone screen. Nothing is actually harmed.
CatharticXylophone

Eight coloured bars and a mallet. Play something, or just run up and down it.
EndlessLawn Mower

Mow clean stripes into the grass. Deeply satisfying for reasons nobody can explain.
EndlessFireworks

Set them off wherever you tap and watch the sky fill up.
EndlessClicking Pen

Click the pen. That is the entire toy, and it is one of the most used in the app.
EndlessBreathing

A circle that grows and shrinks. Follow it in and out until your shoulders drop.
Calm downLight Switch

On. Off. On. Off. For as long as you feel like it.

Why it works when a game doesn't
Most games ask something of you — beat this, finish that, come back tomorrow. This one asks nothing, which is the entire point.
Nothing to achieve
No score, no stars, no completion percentage. Nothing in the app is trying to make you play longer than you want to.
Over 25 toys
Squeezy, poppy, clicky, noisy and calm ones. If the one you picked isn't hitting the spot today, put it back and take another.
Made to be used for one minute
Open the shelf, pick something up, put the phone down again. It is built for the gap between two things, not for an evening.
Physical toys, faithfully
Each toy is modelled on the real object — how slime stretches, how a spinner slows down, how a pop it resists then gives. Getting that right is what makes it satisfying rather than just animated.
Something to do with your hands
If you fidget while thinking, or while on a call, or while trying not to bite your nails, this is a place to put that.
New toys keep appearing
The shelf has grown steadily since launch and new toys arrive as ordinary app updates.
Fine for kids
No reading needed, no chat, no way for anyone to reach you through the app, and nothing that can be lost or broken.
No account, ever
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to remember. Install it and the shelf is there.
